The work of reinforcing the roof of the project’s rainwater monitoring tank is progressing steadily. The \"Huayi Furnace\" section is the core technical part of this project; therefore, the project management team has maintained active communication with the general contractor, Shanghai Huayi Engineering Co., Ltd., as well as the construction contractor, China National Chemical Third Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. As of March 3, 93 workers had arrived at the site for the \"Huayi Furnace\" section, providing a solid workforce to ensure the resumption of construction there on a full scale. The methanol scrubber tower of the ethylene glycol plant, weighing 85 tons, has begun to be lifted. The project team worked together with participating companies such as China Aerospace Changzheng, China Tianchen, and China Chengda, organizing the employees to return to work by means of chartering vehicles, taking into account the characteristics of each group of employees. According to statistics, a total of 105 employees in 5 groups were transported back to their posts by chartered vehicles. To date, work has been completed or is in progress on 177 piles as part of the plant’s overall system engineering, the construction of the second floor of the Huayi furnace, the modular assembly of the super-large steel structure for the Huayi furnace, the lifting of 3 large-scale equipment units in the ethylene glycol plant, the insulation of those 3 units along with the installation of related accessories, and the pouring of concrete for 40,000 square meters of buildings in the area in front of the plant. The total investment incurred so far exceeds 3 billion yuan.
