Recently, an announcement was issued for a tender regarding the environmental impact assessment of Longyu New Materials Co., Ltd. in Baicheng, Xinjiang’s project to produce 200,000 tons per year of BDO from natural gas, as well as 200,000 tons per year of ethylene glycol through the use of coke oven off-gases. Project Overview: The land designated for the project’s construction is located in the new area of the industrial park in Baicheng County, Aksu Region, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, to the west of Jinhui Road and to the south of the Tianshan Gas filling station. The area covered by this land is 2,137 mu. The main production units of this project include: coal preparation, coking, coke screening, chemical product recovery, ethylene glycol production facilities, a facility for producing acetylene through the partial oxidation of natural gas, a facility for synthesizing methanol from acetylene waste gases, formaldehyde production facilities, and BDO production facilities. The project is planned and constructed in an integrated manner, featuring an industrial structure driven by the coal coking industry chain, clean energy product chain, and biodegradable plastic product chain. Scope of the tender: This tendering project is divided into 2 bid sections, and this tender relates to the following: (001) Environmental impact assessment for the BDO production project with an annual capacity of 200,000 tons; (002) Environmental impact assessment for the project to produce 200,000 tons of ethylene glycol through the comprehensive utilization of coke oven exhaust gases
