To address the difficulties faced by businesses in the current environment of low oil prices and to cope with the challenges posed by industry turmoil, the Polyolefins Center has implemented 20 measures across 6 areas aimed at helping the company overcome these difficulties. By taking practical actions to fully utilize the potential of the production facilities, and by carrying out efforts to improve technology, increase revenue, reduce expenses, and enhance efficiency, significant results have been achieved. By thoroughly optimizing the process parameters of the LLDPE plant’s film production and cryogenic recovery systems, the Polyolefins Division has effectively promoted the implementation of the research and development project aimed at comprehensive recovery of solvent emissions from HDPE plants. In the first half of the year, a total of 563 tons of hydrocarbons were recovered; the overall consumption of polyolefins per unit of output decreased by 0.0011 tons per ton, resulting in an increase in polyolefin production of approximately 696.85 tons and cost savings of around 4.9079 million yuan. By continuously optimizing the process operation parameters and strengthening the refined management of the production process, the amount of waste reduced by 83.31 tons compared to the same period last year. The two polypropylene plants consumed a total of 6,406 tons of butene-1, resulting in cost savings of approximately 14.0332 million yuan; they also used 13,876 tons of ethylene for propenylation, which led to cost savings of around 7.5569 million yuan. In addition, continuous attention was paid to the operation of the membrane recovery system in the PP2 unit, resulting in cost savings of approximately 373,500 yuan. Efforts have been made to diversify spare parts, and initiatives to reuse existing materials have been continued; as a result, approximately 3.1717 million yuan was saved in spare parts procurement costs during the first half of the year. At the same time, the center strictly controls five types of expenses; the offices and various facilities carry out energy-saving initiatives to conserve water, electricity, and paper, and eliminate the practice of leaving lights and water running unnecessarily, making efforts at every small detail ； Through continuous optimization of the circulating water usage in each device, approximately 1,600 tons of water can be saved per hour ； By optimizing the startup procedure after maintenance, the raw material utilization rate has been significantly improved; all four operating units were successfully started on the first attempt, and they are now operating stably.
