In Ningdong, Ningxia, there is a coal field covering an area of 3,500 square kilometers, with proven reserves of 27.3 billion tons. From a desolate land that had remained silent for a thousand years, to the establishment of a coal-to-oil chemical industry complex that embodies countless hopes, and to mastering the core technologies of this industry, the people of Shenning started from scratch, forging ahead through challenges and striving to reach new heights. 　　Made in the Gobi Desert: Coal gasification, as one of the main methods for the clean and efficient utilization of coal, serves as the \"engine\" of the coal-to-chemicals industry. To promote the development of coal gasification technology, in 2012, **Energy Group Ningxia Coal Industry Co., Ltd. joined forces with research institutions such as China Fifth Ring Engineering Corporation and the 711th Research Institute of China State Shipbuilding Corporation to form a joint R&D team aimed at developing a dry coal powder pressurized gasification technology with independent intellectual property rights, capable of processing 3,000 tons of coal per day – the “Shenning Furnace”. 　　In October 2016, Ningxia Coal Industry’s first \"Shenning furnace\" was successfully commissioned for operation; in December 2016, the coal-to-oil project produced qualified oil products; in December 2019, the scientific and technological achievement related to \"the innovative development and industrialization of a 4 million tons per year coal indirect liquefaction system\" was successfully evaluated by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation. 　　“The domestic development and demonstration of the “Shenning Furnace” is one of the 37 tasks related to the localization of key technologies, equipment, and materials for coal-to-oil projects. 　　“The technical features of the \"Shenning Furnace\" include: wide adaptability to different coal types (suitable for anthracite, bituminous coal, long-bituminous coal, lignite, etc.); high gas production capacity (effective gas output of around 150,000 Nm3/h); high carbon conversion rate (≥98%); low dust content in the syngas (≤1 mg/Nm3); high slag-to-ash ratio (≥6:4); and low residual carbon in the filter cake
