During the trial operation phase, the boiler operated smoothly, with emission levels under control, achieving the goal of continuous and stable operation. Boiler No. 5 is a 130 t/h high-temperature separated circulating fluidized bed boiler, which was installed to replace the existing medium-temperature separated boilers in order to improve thermal efficiency, save energy and reduce consumption, as well as control emission levels ; Ensure the continuity and stability of large-scale production, and completely resolve the issue of boilers affecting production. To ensure that Boiler No. 5 can successfully complete the 168-hour trial operation, the company organized a special meeting on this topic involving the Technology Planning Department and relevant departments, and established a trial operation command team. For the various issues identified during the purging process, responsibilities were assigned to specific individuals, who were then tasked with addressing each issue one by one. Based on the feedback from the rectification efforts, the final date for commissioning the ignition system was determined. Since the 5# boiler was started up and began to produce steam on March 10, the relevant personnel have remained at the site, checking the boiler’s operation status on a daily basis, monitoring key parameters, and keeping records. For various issues identified during the trial operation phase, such as steam leakage from the needle valves, ash leakage from the exhaust ports, and pipeline vibration, the manufacturer and the installation team were contacted promptly to address them, ensuring the stable operation of the boiler. By March 17, Furnace No. 5 had successfully completed its 168-hour trial run. After 7 days of trial operation, the operators have gained a good understanding of the operating patterns of Boiler No. 5 and its associated auxiliary equipment. In the next step, under the guidance of the boiler manufacturer, further optimizations will be made to the combustion conditions of Boiler No. 5. While ensuring compliance with emission standards, efforts will be made to reduce energy consumption and achieve the specified performance indicators, thereby contributing to Xiangyu Salt Chemical’s efforts to reduce carbon emissions and providing support for these efforts. The general contracting project for the energy-saving technology upgrade of Chongqing Xiangyu Salt Chemical Gasification is located in Wanzhou District, Chongqing. The construction scale includes: a 300,000 tons per year ammonia synthesis plant, an air separation unit, a gasification unit, a purification unit, along with the associated utility systems (excluding boilers) and auxiliary facilities. Wuhuan Project won the contract for the general contracting of the energy-saving technology upgrade project for coal gasification at Chongqing Xiangyu Salt Chemicals, under the EPCC model; the value of the contract awarded to Wuhuan Project was approximately 1.056 billion yuan. The completion of this project represents an innovation in the energy-saving process technologies for existing ammonia synthesis plants; by reducing energy consumption, it plays a significant role in effectively controlling the overall environmental emissions in the Three Gorges Reservoir area.
