The coke oven gas conversion unit of Donghua Technology’s Shanxi Meijin Huasheng ethylene glycol PMC project was successfully put into operation. The coke oven gas conversion unit is a key component of Shanxi Meijin Huasheng’s integrated exhaust gas utilization project aimed at producing 300,000 tons per year of ethylene glycol along with LNG. It uses the abundant coke oven exhaust gas from nearby coking plants as raw material, and through various processes such as compression, pure oxygen conversion, centrifugal compression, MDEA decarburization, precise desulfurization, CO2 compression, activated carbon adsorption, deep cryogenic separation of H2/CO, PSA-H2 treatment, compression of the desorbed gas, nitrogen compression, and CO compression, it produces high-quality CO product gas and H2, which are then sent to the ethylene glycol production facility as raw materials for its manufacture. The device was designed by Donghua Technology, which is also responsible for the PMC management of its construction.
