Progress of Maintenance Work on Key Projects at Yunnan Dawa Ammonia Production Plant Author/Source: Yunnan Dawa Ammonia Production Plant Date: 2020-09-03 Clicks: 18 In accordance with Yunnan Dawa Ammonia Production Plant’s annual maintenance plan, this annual maintenance campaign focuses on carrying out repairs at the gasification furnace, upgrading the shift converter unit (adding E04101A, removing the oxygenator and pre-shift converter; replacing the original No. 1 shift converter with a new one along with related piping), and maintaining the air separation MAN unit – these being the key areas that require attention during the maintenance work. As of 17:00 on September 1, 2020, the progress of the above maintenance tasks is as follows: I. Maintenance tasks inside the gasifier – Removal of the remaining cast material from the gasifier furnace chamber and grinding of the pins ； The cooled nitrogen seal plate and the back-blow nitrogen pipe that were damaged due to overheating at the quenching port are being repaired, while the water-cooled wall tubes that have thinned out on the top of the gasification furnace are being replaced ； Replace the water-cooled wall tubes that have thinned in the gas pipeline ； The ash between the heat exchanger tubes at the lower part of the SGC cross hanger has been removed ； Burner cover is being removed. Damaged area on the upper cover of the quenching box; spalling of the lining material inside the furnace. II. Transformation unit renovation project: The foundation of the new pre-conversion furnace has been poured twice ； Preparation of inlet and outlet pipelines for the new pre-conversion furnace and new gas preheater E04101A is in progress, along with valve repairs. Transformation and on-site valve repair. III. Maintenance tasks for the main air compression unit in the air separation plant: The couplings of the air compressor and the nitrogen circulation compressor in the MAN unit have been removed, and the upper cover of the air compressor has been lifted off.
