Pingding Chemical will construct a production line for 60,000 tons per year of PBAT as well as a line for producing PBAT modified products in quantities of 10,000 tons per year. Production is expected to begin in March 2022. On January 20, 2021, Shanxi Province explicitly stated that, starting in July of that year, the production, sale, and use of single-use non-degradable plastic products would be banned throughout the province. Policy is an opportunity! Pingding Chemical actively responded to the province’s ‘plastic ban’ order issued by the Shanxi Provincial Party Committee and Government. Pingding Chemical will build production lines for 60,000 tons per year of PBAT and 10,000 tons per year of PBAT-modified products. Based on the requirements of downstream applications, a variety of PBAT-modified plastics and finished plastic products are produced to meet the demand for biodegradable plastics in our province and across the country. At present, the project’s engineering design has been carried out, with thorough planning and a reverse scheduling approach, with the goal of completing construction and putting it into operation by March 2022. Once the new project comes online, it will significantly alleviate the shortage of biodegradable plastics in our country, and it will also generate substantial economic benefits for Huayang Group!
