The kick-off meeting for the electrical equipment related to Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum Yushen Energy Chemical’s 500,000 tons per year coal-based ethanol project was held. On November 9th, the one-week kick-off meeting for the plant-wide monitoring and control systems, 10kV high-voltage switchgear, and 0.4kV low-voltage switchgear related to this project was successfully concluded at Beiyou Engineering. Professional technicians from project participants and supplier companies such as Yushen Company, Beiyou Engineering Company, Beijing Aerospace Engineering Company, and Qingshan Technology attended the meeting. At the start of the meeting, in-depth discussions were held on the overall framework of the plant’s electrical monitoring system as well as the primary and secondary drawings for high- and low-voltage switchgear. The responsibilities of each party were clarified, and a deadline was set for the return of the drawings. Technical experts also offered suggestions from the perspective of product usage. Ultimately, all parties reached an agreement, resulting in 52 minutes of the meeting, which created the conditions necessary for each unit to carry out its tasks smoothly. Yushen Company requires that all units work closely together to take advantage of the favorable situation regarding the advanced progress of construction on the plant’s main transformer, and to promptly carry out design and procurement tasks, striving to meet the deadline for enabling the main transformer to receive power ahead of schedule. It is understood that March 2021 will be the time when all the main transformer equipment for the plant will arrive. At that time, the technical teams from various units will go to the construction site to provide full support for equipment installation and commissioning. The total investment in Yanchang Petroleum’s 500,000 tons per year coal-based ethanol project is 6.98 billion yuan. Located in the Qingshui Industrial Park of the Yushen Industrial Zone, this project utilizes the ethanol production technology based on dimethyl ether carbonylation, which was developed jointly by Yanchang Petroleum and the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Construction on this project officially began on November 6, 2018, with completion scheduled for the end of 2021. The successful topping out of the structure now lays a solid foundation for the project to be completed on schedule. In 2020, Yushen Energy & Chemical will make every effort to advance the construction of the ethanol project by focusing on three \"completions\", two \"50% targets\" and one \"start“. The three \"completions\" refer to completing the annual investment of 1.18 billion yuan in the project, finalizing the EPC contract for the ethanol project, and completing the procurement of long-term-use equipment ； The two “50%” refer to completing 50% of the detailed design and 50% of the civil construction work ； A “Start” means beginning the device installation. On June 2, the signing ceremony for the EPC general contract of Yushen Energy and Chemical Co., Ltd. of Yanjiang Petroleum’s 500,000 tons per year coal-based ethanol project was held in Xi’an. Li Junlin, executive director of Yushen Nenghua Company, signed EPC general contract agreements for the ethanol project with Beijing Petrochemical Engineering Company and Aerospace Changzheng Engineering Company respectively. Beijing Petrochemical Engineering Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Shaanxi Construction Group, won two bidding lots worth a total of 3.78 billion yuan. The EPC general contracting for bid sections 1 and 2 of this project involves public auxiliary facilities and plant-wide system engineering, as well as process facilities and water treatment systems. As the EPC general contractor for the gasification unit of this project, the Aerospace Engineering Company signed a general contract with Yushen Energy Chemical Company, with a contract value of 590 million yuan. The project uses 2 2,000-ton-class space furnaces.
