Date: 2021-01-06 Clicks: 9 Recently, the initial trial run of the sulfur recovery unit in Line 2 of the methanol complex, which was undertaken by Beijing Petrochemical Engineering Co., Ltd. as the general contractor, was successful, with sulfur being produced. The device consists of four units: Claus sulfur production, hydrogenation of Claus off-gases, CTS off-gas desulfurization, and off-gas combustion. Significant improvements have been made in terms of process flow, layout, control and interlocking, as well as energy conservation and environmental protection. A highly automated ignition method has also been successfully implemented to ensure the safety of personnel during startup. The successful commissioning of the sulfur recovery unit laid the foundation for the operation and production of the project.
