Construction has begun on the renovation project to improve the gasification units of Erdos Yiding Ecological Agriculture Development Co., Ltd.’s project involving 600,000 tons per year of synthetic ammonia and 1.04 million tons per year of urea. Author/Source: Refining & Chemical Industry Updates Date: 2021-03-30 Clicks: 13 The renovation work on the gasification units for producing 600,000 tons of synthetic ammonia and 1.04 million tons of urea in Inner Mongolia is progressing rapidly. In late March, the renovation project to improve these gasification units was officially launched in Hangjin Banner, Erdos City. It is understood that the project leaders from companies such as Ordos Yiding Ecological Agriculture Development Co., Ltd., CNPC Pipeline Bureau Engineering Co., Ltd., and Shanghai Huanguo Co., Ltd., along with local ** authorities, attended the inauguration ceremony. The total investment for Yiding Company’s renovation project is 750 million yuan. The project was registered in October 2018; it involves the construction of a new gasification furnace along with related facilities, with completion scheduled for September 2022. Ordos Yiding Ecological Agriculture Development Co., Ltd. was established in September 2011, with a registered capital of 1.419 billion yuan. It was founded jointly by Yili Resources Group Co., Ltd. and Zibo Mining Group Co., Ltd.; among them, Yili Resources Group Co., Ltd. invested 852 million yuan, holding 60% of the shares ; Zibo Mining Group Co., Ltd. invested 568 million yuan, holding a 40% stake. Yiding Ecological Agriculture Development Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary of Ely Clean Energy (600277), which in turn belongs to Ely Resources Group. Located in the Duguitala Industrial Park in Hangjin Banner, Ordos City, Inner Mongolia, Yiding Company has been working over the past few years to establish a fertilizer production base, a research and development center for new types of fertilizers, and a hub for the distribution of high-quality ecological agricultural products. At present, Yiding Company’s fertilizer production project was initiated in May 2011, was completed in December 2014, and began producing qualified products in February 2015. The facilities that are now in operation include ones for producing 600,000 tons per year of synthetic ammonia, 1.04 million tons per year of urea, 300,000 tons per year of compound fertilizers, and 50,000 tons per year of organic fertilizers. The main products include urea, organic fertilizers, compound fertilizers, ammonium sulfate, sulfur, urea-ammonium nitrogen fertilizers, compound microbial fertilizers, slow- and controlled-release fertilizers, and biochar-based fertilizers. It is reported that on March 10th, Shanghai Global Engineering Co., Ltd. and Collin Energy Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd. signed a contract for the process package of the gasification project at Ordos Yiding Ecological Agriculture Development Co., Ltd., which belongs to Inner Mongolia Yili Group, in Shanghai. Yiding Company’s second-phase plan involves the construction of a gasification unit with a daily coal feeding capacity of 2,000 tons, along with associated facilities. The project is overseen by Shanghai Huanyu as the general contractor, and the gasification technology utilized is Collin CCG’s patented powder coal gasification technology. This project collaborates with Kunlun Bank, a subsidiary of CNPC Group, and adopts an EPC+F business partnership model to provide clients with comprehensive services covering financing, engineering expertise, and the entire construction process. Shanghai Huanyu took on the general contracting role for the design, procurement, and construction of the gasification unit for the first time. It is reported that Yiding Company’s project for filling in gaps and making improvements utilizes the patented CCG powder gasification technology; the gasifier used in this system features a top-mounted multi-nozzle (3+1) design, enabling a carbon conversion rate of 98%–99%, a cold gas efficiency of 81%–83%, and an effective gas content in the syngas of 88%–93%.
