It remains committed to its production targets, fosters a strong sense of striving for maximum output, and makes every effort to overcome the adverse effects caused by the gradual aging of equipment, all in order to boost production levels. Every effort was made to organize a comprehensive overhaul of the facilities in order to improve their stability in operation. This overhaul marked the first time that both sets of facilities have been shut down for maintenance since they were put into operation; it was also the first time that the environmental protection facilities and the main production facilities were maintained simultaneously. The maintenance period was short yet involved many tasks. Thanks to the careful planning and supervision by the overhaul command center, as well as the close cooperation among various departments and construction teams, the facilities were shut down smoothly, and the maintenance was completed 24 hours ahead of schedule ; The maintenance work is progressing smoothly, with the projects on the critical path being completed four days ahead of schedule ; The startup scheduling was accurate, and the operations of various units were coordinated properly, enabling the production of qualified methanol 3.5 days ahead of schedule and thus completing the major maintenance task successfully. The work related to ultra-low emission of flue gas from the second-phase boilers was completed; potential issues related to shaft vibration in the air compressors of the second phase were thoroughly identified and resolved. The transformation pipelines in the second phase were upgraded, and the catalysts in the synthesis units of both phases as well as in the first-phase transformation unit were replaced. Inspections were carried out on the internal components of the flue gas desulfurization towers in both phases. Nine safety and environmental hazard issues were addressed, and some aging equipment was replaced. All factors that could interfere with the stable, efficient operation of the plant were eliminated. Throughout the maintenance process, no safety accidents or environmental incidents occurred, laying a solid foundation for the company to achieve its annual production and operational goals. To ensure the full achievement of production targets, and in light of the company’s actual conditions, a work plan for the “Learning from History and Striving to Be Pioneers: 100-Day Stable Operation” campaign was formulated. This plan aims at precise control of venting and emissions, increasing the production of purified methanol, and raising the concentration of the coal slurry. Exchanges with similar enterprises were carried out; concentration improvement was achieved through ultra-fine grinding and increased reflux of the coal slurry. Through energy consumption analysis, it was determined that installing additional reflux pipelines on the coal slurry pumps to send some of the slurry back to the grinder for re-grinding would help improve the particle size distribution of the slurry, thereby increasing its concentration. Relevant technical personnel were sent to Changqing Energy to gain in-depth knowledge in this area, which resulted in an increase in the coal slurry concentration from 60.5% to 63.5%, allowing the volume of fresh gas to be increased by 20,000 Nm3/h. Through the above measures, the production efficiency of the device has been significantly improved. Take stringent precautions to strengthen the foundation of safe production. In February, in line with the “Document No. 1” issued by the group company and the chemical company, 10 areas were identified, along with 40 key tasks and 112 main activities to be carried out... In March, more than 800 copies of the “Manual on Important Theories Concerning Safe Production” were compiled and distributed; furthermore, specialized training was provided to 135 personnel in positions above those in charge of operations, through the introduction of external expertise... Also in March, after attending the specialized training on the relevant regulations organized by the group company, 500 handbooks for explaining these regulations were prepared... In April, signage indicating the responsibilities for ensuring the safety of 7 major hazard sources was installed, and records of the fulfillment of these safety responsibilities were kept... In May, an evaluation agency was hired to assess the current safety conditions of the facilities, and the 11 issues and potential hazards identified as a result of this assessment were addressed... In June, the company’s 58 safety and environmental management systems were reviewed and improved further...
