On September 18, the groundbreaking ceremony for Kaixiang Fine Chemicals’ project to produce 100,000 tons of PBT products per year was held at the site of Henan Kaixiang Fine Chemicals Co., Ltd. It marks the official commencement of the construction project for the PBT production facility with the largest total domestic capacity. The total investment in this project is 380 million yuan, with a land area of 11,662.8 square meters. Upon completion of the project, it will generate an additional annual sales revenue of 1.346 billion yuan and an additional profit of 124 million yuan. The return on investment in terms of taxes and profits will be 69.6%, which will help to promote the development of downstream industries such as PBS and PBAT in the surrounding areas. In his speech, Wan Zhanwei said that Sanmenxia City and Henan Energy have maintained a long-term and close strategic partnership, and the project under construction represents a solid step forward in further deepening their cooperation. During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Sanmenxia City will focus on developing a \"335\" modern industrial system centered on the fine chemical industry, which will provide high-quality support for the industrial development of Henan Energy in this city. It is hoped that both sides will work together for mutual benefit and shared success, jointly writing a new chapter in enterprise-local cooperation. In his speech, He Jun said that the 100,000-ton/year PBT product series project under construction is not only a practical way to implement the spirit of the provincial Party committee’s meeting and the principle of giving priority to projects, but also a concrete measure to build new momentum for sustainable development. Once completed, the project will play a significant role in strengthening Yima City’s cluster of degradable materials industries. Yima City will, as always, provide high-quality and efficient services for enterprise development and project construction, making genuine contributions to achieving the \"two guarantees\" with Yima’s strength. In his speech, Duan Zhiguang said that since the beginning of this year, Henan Energy has earnestly implemented the decisions and arrangements made by the provincial Party committee and the provincial government, accelerated the optimization and adjustment of its industries, and the chemical sector has maintained a steady and strong pace of development. Henan Energy will adhere to the principles of equality, mutual benefit, and win-win cooperation, and fully support contractors, builders, and operators in working together sincerely and diligently to ensure that all construction tasks are completed to high standards, with high quality and efficiency. It will strive to make greater contributions to the transformation, upgrading, and high-quality development of Henan Energy, as well as to the economic and social development of Sanmenxia and Yima cities, and to making the Central Plains region even more prosperous. At around 11:30, Li Changzhi announced the start of the project. With the cutting and lowering of the opening ribbon, the 100,000 tons per year PBT product line project officially entered a 14-month construction phase. It is understood that this project will adopt the direct esterification production process, which was developed through collaboration among energy enterprises in Henan and for which independent intellectual property rights exist. The PBT, PBS, PBAT and other products planned to be manufactured can be widely used in fields such as spinning, optical cables, films, and biodegradable plastics; they are in line with industry development policies and hold broad market prospects. More than 300 people from Sanmenxia City, Yima City, China National Machinery Equipment Engineering Corporation, and the Yima Industrial Park attended the opening ceremony together.
