On March 10, Shanghai Huanguo Engineering Co., Ltd. and Collin Energy Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd. signed a process package contract for the gasification project of Ordos Yiding Ecological Agriculture Development Co., Ltd., which belongs to Inner Mongolia Yili Group, in Shanghai. This project is a retrofitting and completion project for the gasification unit of Yiding Company’s 600,000 tons/year ammonia synthesis and 1.04 million tons/year urea production facility; phase two involves the construction of a new gasifier with a capacity of 110,000 Nm3/h (requiring 2,000 tons of coal per day) along with associated facilities. The project is generally contracted by Shanghai Huanyu, with Collin CCG’s patented powder gasification technology being used for gasification. Sun Gang, chairman of Shanghai Global Engineering Co., Ltd., explained that this project represents the company’s first collaboration with Kunlun Bank, a subsidiary of CNPC. It adopts an EPC+F business partnership model, providing clients with comprehensive services that include financing, engineering expertise, and the entire construction process. This is an important step forward for the company in terms of innovation in its full-industry-chain service model. It is also the first time that Shanghai Global has taken on the role of general contractor for the design, procurement, and construction of gasification units, which holds milestone significance for the application of core coal chemical technologies and for strengthening and expanding the company’s operations in this field. Shan Yubing, chairman of Collin Energy Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd., said that the CCG powder coal gasification patented technology was developed by German company Collin Industrial Technology. It is the only gasifier in the world to feature a top-mounted multi-nozzle (3+1) design, and it boasts advantages such as wide compatibility with different types of coal, high gasification efficiency, and environmental friendliness. The carbon conversion rate reaches 98%–99%, the cold gas efficiency is 81%–83%, and the effective gas content in the syngas can reach 88%–93%. At the same time, this technology has enabled the localization of engineering services; the core patented equipment is 100% domestically produced, which significantly reduces the costs associated with equipment manufacturing and maintenance. It is precisely because of these advantages that Yiding Company chose Colin CCG’s patented powder gasification technology for its second-phase construction project. Ordos Yiding Ecological Agriculture Development Co., Ltd. was established in September 2011, with a registered capital of 1.419 billion yuan. It was founded jointly by Yili Resources Group Co., Ltd. and Zibo Mining Group Co., Ltd.; among them, Yili Resources Group Co., Ltd. invested 852 million yuan, holding 60% of the shares ； Zibo Mining Group Co., Ltd. has invested 568 million yuan, holding a 40% stake. Currently, Yiding Company has facilities for producing 600,000 tons per year of synthetic ammonia, 1.04 million tons per year of urea, 300,000 tons per year of compound fertilizers, and 50,000 tons per year of organic fertilizers. Its main products include urea, organic fertilizers, compound fertilizers, ammonium sulfate, sulfur, urea-ammonium nitrogen fertilizers, compound microbial fertilizers, slow- and controlled-release fertilizers, and biochar-based fertilizers; it has become a major fertilizer manufacturing enterprise in Inner Mongolia.
