Is the temperature at the bottom of the tower too high? If the COD level is within acceptable limits, try to reduce the temperature there; increasing the reflux rate should help a lot. If that doesn’t work, then maybe the processing capacity of the tower was overestimated during design, resulting in a decrease in the efficiency of the tower trays
I agree with the view above; the most direct reason is the high temperature at the bottom of the solvent recovery tower and the low reflux rate.
