Dongxinyuan Company receives provincial award for R&D expenses / Author/Source: Sinochem New Network Date: 10-22-2021 Clicks: 13 It was recently reported by the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology that Shaanxi Dongxinyuan Chemical Company received a special grant of 3.02 million yuan as part of the rewards for large enterprises’ investment in R&D activities for the year 2021. Guided by the advanced chemical management philosophy of \"scientific management + science and technology as the primary driving force for development,\" Dongxinyuan Company has, through over 5 years of independent innovation and development, developed a series of innovative technologies with significant advantages. It has achieved outstanding results in the fields of energy conservation, environmental protection, and low-carbon development, thereby continuously strengthening its core competitiveness. First, fluidized-bed boilers utilize a gas-solid mixed fuel technology that combines solid waste with waste gas; the solid waste comes from locally available low-calorific-value coal sludge, while the waste gas is derived from the low-calorific-value gas obtained after hydrogen extraction. The cost of fuel for power generation is virtually zero, resulting in the lowest power generation costs in the industry ； Secondly, through the use of patented technologies such as a special-shaped design for the flue wall in cubic-type pyrolysis furnaces, oxygen-free treatment of gas at the furnace top, and the use of pyrolysis gas instead of recycled furnace gas, the production capacity of lignite coals increased from the originally planned 1.8 million tons per year to 2.4 million tons per year, without the need for new facilities or additional investment. The production capacity per furnace in these facilities is the highest in the country ； Thirdly, through the industrial application of a series of independently developed technologies such as a new green process for hydrogen production from raw gas without conversion, capacity expansion upgrades for delayed coking, and advanced hydrogenation techniques, the coal tar hydrogenation plant now has the capability to produce 2,000 tons of petroleum products per day, which is twice the original design capacity ； Fourthly, a set of self-designed comprehensive treatment technologies for wastewater and exhaust gases, based on classification by type, is employed to enable the resource utilization of such waste streams, resulting in annual savings of 100 million yuan in treatment costs. It is reported that subsidies for R&D expenses are important measures taken by governments at all levels to encourage enterprises to increase their investment in R&D and enhance their innovation capabilities. Receiving the corresponding financial grants is not only an acknowledgment of a company’s R&D and innovation capabilities, but also support for it to increase its investment in R&D and enhance its overall strength.
