At the beginning of operation of this pump, due to low inlet pressure and high outlet pressure, as well as the fact that all four pumps shared one inlet pipe, insufficient suction at the pump inlet led to cavitation. To completely resolve this issue, recently the management of the gasification plant conducted studies and calculations based on the actual production conditions, and decided to take advantage of this shutdown for maintenance to modify the main pipe of the high-pressure ash water pump located in the cone section of the stripping tower. After the modification, the three pumps share one inlet pipeline, while the remaining high-pressure ash water pump uses its own separate inlet pipeline. The implementation of this technical upgrade has fundamentally resolved the issue of insufficient suction volume at the inlet of the high-pressure ash pump. It not only eliminates the risk of cavitation in the pump but also ensures the maximum circulation capacity of the high-pressure ash pump, thereby improving the quality of water in the system.
