Latest updates on Shaanxi Coal Yulin Chemical’s 1.8 million-ton ethylene glycol project! Author/Source: Coal-Based New Materials Date: 2021-12-08 Clicks: 24 At 16:57 on December 3, thanks to the careful organization by the project team leaders and the hard work of the employees involved, the 7#35KV substation for the demonstration project on the production of chemical new materials through the selective utilization of coal at Shaanxi Coal Group Yulin Chemical, operated by Global Beijing Company, was officially connected to the power supply. With this, all 7 35KV substations for Shaanxi Coal Yulin Chemical’s 1.8 million tons per year ethylene glycol production facility have now been successfully connected to the power supply! Substation No. 7 in Area 7 of the Shaanxi Coal Group Yulin Chemical Project on the selective utilization of coal to produce new chemical materials, with a voltage rating of 35 KV. The electrical equipment in this substation includes 4 oil-immersed power transformers, 33 10kV switchgear units, 2 sets of neutral point grounding resistance cabinets, 2 sets of 10kV reactive power compensation devices; 16 low-voltage switchgear units, 16 integrated protection cabinets and low-voltage data acquisition screens; 2 sets of DC systems, 1 set of AC uninterruptible power supply equipment; 1,100 meters of cable trays, 1,500 meters of grounding wires, and 228 lighting fixtures. The civil work for this substation began on September 20, 2020; it was delivered for installation on May 5, 2021. Internal electrical installation and debugging were completed on November 24, at which point it was ready to receive power. To successfully achieve the objectives regarding the power reception points at the substation, during the suspension of the project construction, the Shaanxi Coal Project Team and Sinochem Second Construction Company worked together to identify the issues, arranged for the materials to arrive in advance, and made relentless efforts to carry out all the necessary preparatory work. After the project resumed work, the project team quickly formed a task force; the project leader stayed on site to coordinate and resolve issues promptly. After 30 days of continuous hard work by the project team, the triumphant moment of successful power connection finally arrived.
