Starting from 1 a.m. on March 4, when the heat and power boiler was successfully ignited, and up to 6:30 p.m. on March 6, when the entire production process was operational and crude methanol could be produced successfully, Sino-China Chemical’s methanol plant functioned properly throughout this period. Thus, the 300,000-ton-per-year methanol plant in the Xinxiang facility has successfully resumed operations in spring for the first time. To strictly control production costs, everyone within the park firmly adheres to the principle that “the startup phase also contributes to efficiency.” The Production Scheduling Center makes overall arrangements and ensures seamless coordination; it also reinforces the primary responsibilities of each process plant, thereby keeping the unit startup process under strict control. From igniting the boiler to initiating methanol synthesis, all critical steps were carried out in sequence without any interruptions. This process was completed 44.5 hours ahead of schedule, resulting in a cost savings of approximately 30% relative to the budgeted amount for startup expenses. It represents the shortest time required to complete the entire process since Xinxiang Park began trial operations, thus laying a solid foundation for the company’s future development.
