On December 1, 2021, the gasification unit of Henan Jindadi Chemical Co., Ltd.’s fourth-phase soda ash production project with a capacity of 600,000 tons per year was successfully ignited for the first time. Henan Jindadi Company’s 600,000-ton sodium bicarbonate project is a key project in Henan Province. It features a large scale of investment for a single project, with a total investment of 5.6 billion yuan, making it the chemical project with the largest investment volume among the new chemical projects in Henan Province. Jindadi’s 600,000-ton/year soda ash project is accompanied by a 600,000-ton/year ammonia synthesis plant. The project uses coal as raw material and a Jinhua furnace to produce syngas; trace impurity gases are removed through processes such as shift reaction, low-temperature methanol washing, and liquid nitrogen washing, thereby producing synthetic ammonia. The purified high-purity carbon dioxide gas is used to produce baking soda through the wet decomposition method. The 450,000 tons per year synthetic ammonia relocation and renovation project in Henan Jindadi uses three Jinhua Model 3.0 furnaces, with two in operation and one as a backup, each requiring 1,500 tons of coal per day. Driving started in February 2019, and full-scale production began on May 8, 2019. Henan Jindadi’s 600,000-ton/year sodium bicarbonate production facility is accompanied by a 600,000-ton/year ammonia synthesis plant that uses Jinhua Furnace 3.0 gasification technology; two additional Jinhua furnaces have been installed, with one in operation and the other as a backup. After starting up, together with the three Jinhua Furnace 3.0 units installed in the third-phase project, it forms a gasification island with four units in operation and one as backup. The pressure and gas flow rate of the newly added Jinhua furnace are consistent with those of the first three gasification furnaces; the gasification pressure remains at 6.5 MPa, and the gas flow rate per furnace is 80,000 m3/h (CO + H2).
