On May 22, the 3 million tons per year coal coking and integrated production project in Baofeng, Ningxia, which was constructed by Shaanxi Huajian Xi’an Company, began operations on a full scale. Once this project is completed and put into operation, Ningxia Baofeng Energy Group’s coke production capacity will reach 7 million tons per year, making it one of the largest independent coking enterprises in China. Shaanxi Huajian Xi’an Company is responsible for the condensation and ventilation system, phosphoric acid ammonia washing unit, ammonium sulfate unit, ammonia vaporization unit, final cooling and benzene washing unit, crude benzene distillation unit, potassium carbonate desulfurization unit, and sulfur recovery unit of this project, as well as the accompanying VOC treatment equipment, auxiliary facilities, and utility systems within the scope of the contract. The main quantities of work include 6,910 tons of steel structures, 572,800 inches of process pipelines, 65 pieces of non-standard equipment, 546 sets of moving and stationary equipment, 18,000 meters of buried pipelines, and 220 buried pipeline chambers. Ningxia Baofeng Energy Group Co., Ltd. has invested 3.4 billion yuan to build a \"3 million tons per year coal coking integrated production project\" within the existing factory premises in Area B of the Baofeng Energy Circular Economy Industrial Park, located in the Linhe Industrial Zone of the Ningdong Energy and Chemical Industry Base. The project construction includes the establishment of new coking and chemical product recovery systems, the construction of a new needle coke production system, the expansion of benzene hydrogenation capacity, and the expansion of tar processing capacity. The construction capacities are as follows: 3 million tons per year for coking; 100,000 tons per year for needle coke; the capacity of the existing benzene hydrogenation plant of 100,000 tons per year will be increased to 120,000 tons per year; the existing tar processing plant with a capacity of 300,000 tons per year will be expanded to 400,000 tons per year. http://img.yf116.cn/image/img/20220529/753192839972.jpg The project involves the construction, using coal as raw material, of a coking system with an annual capacity of 3 million tons, a gas purification and recovery system, a tar processing system, a needle coke production system, a benzene hydrogenation production system, as well as the utility facilities and auxiliary production equipment required for the project. The main construction components include the establishment of a new coking unit with an annual capacity of 3 million tons, as well as a needle coke production unit with an annual capacity of 100,000 tons. The existing benzene hydrogenation unit with an annual capacity of 100,000 tons will be expanded to 120,000 tons per year; the existing tar processing unit with an annual capacity of 300,000 tons will be expanded to 400,000 tons per year. The total land area required for the project is 75.584 hectares, of which 48.084 hectares are allocated to coking operations, 12.38 hectares to tar processing (an additional 1.45 hectares), 9.6 hectares to needle coke production, 2.52 hectares to benzene hydrogenation, and 3 hectares for sewage treatment and reuse. In total, an additional 62.134 hectares of land will be needed, while the area occupied by buildings and structures will be 19,798,985 square meters.
