To further advance the comprehensive ecological restoration efforts around Hulun Lake, to ensure that sewage treatment plants achieve zero discharge into the Hailar River, and to make more effective use of the water that has been treated using the AAO process, Chenqi has been coordinating efforts, making scientific plans, and strengthening cooperation between local authorities and enterprises since 2018. Construction of the second phase of the Hulun Lake ecological restoration project, namely the reclaimed water reuse project in Chenqi, began last September. The total investment in the project is 50.677 million yuan. The construction includes an emergency accident tank with a capacity of 10,000 m3, a intermediate water tank with a capacity of 2,000 m3, 22 kilometers of intermediate water pipelines, and one pump house, capable of processing 3,000 m3 of intermediate water per day. Upon completion of the project, the treated reclaimed water will be transported through pipelines to Hulunbuir Dongneng Chemical Co., Ltd. for reuse, thereby achieving efficient and economical use of water resources and truly realizing \"zero discharge\" for the Hailar River. At the construction site of the reclaimed water reuse project for the Chenqi Sewage Treatment Plant, which is part of the second phase of the Hulun Lake ecological environment comprehensive management project, all 22 kilometers of reclaimed water reuse pipelines have been laid. The construction team is accelerating its work to install the necessary gate valves and well chambers. The reclaimed water reuse project at Chenqi Sewage Treatment Plant is divided into four bid sections. Bids 1 and 2 involve the installation of water pipelines with a total length of 22 kilometers. Bids 3 and 4 cover the main structures such as the plant’s water storage tanks, emergency tanks, and water pump rooms, as well as the installation of related equipment and the landscaping of the plant area. Since the resumption of work on the project on February 27, 2020, and with the diligent and organized efforts of the construction team, the installation of the water supply pipeline network was completed in full as planned by April 30. The next step is to accelerate the construction of the remaining projects to ensure their completion on schedule and to the required standard. It is understood that for this reclaimed water reuse project, K9 grade ductile iron pipes with excellent corrosion resistance, good ductility, and easy installation are used, along with corrosion-resistant soft-sealed gate valves; 49 well chambers have also been constructed. To date, the pipeline network projects for Bid Sections 1 and 2, as well as the main structures such as the water tanks and pump houses in Bid Sections 3 and 4, have all been completed one by one. The installation of relevant equipment in the factory area, along with the hardening and landscaping works, are in progress at full speed, with the entire project expected to be completed by the end of June.
