On May 28, the first gasifier for the Shandong Union Chemical Project, constructed by the East China Branch and lifted into place by Daji Company, was successfully installed in its position. The gasifier has a diameter of 3.8 meters, a height of 20 meters, and weighs 245 tons. It is installed at a height of 33.5 meters. It is the single piece of equipment with the greatest length and weight in the gasification section. For its lifting, an 800-ton crawler crane was used as the main lifting unit, while a 400-ton crawler crane handled the tail-guiding process. The successful lifting of this gasification furnace lays a solid foundation for the subsequent lifting of large-scale equipment such as the pulverized coal feed tank and the raw coal silo, providing a reliable guarantee for the installation of the main steel structure of the gasification unit. The Shandong Alliance 40∙60 Project utilizes aerospace-based pulverized coal gasification, low-temperature methanol washing, and liquid nitrogen washing technologies to retrofit the existing fixed-bed intermittent gas production process. Additionally, a pressure swing adsorption process will be employed to purify H2 from the raw gas in the rectisolve unit, thereby producing hydrogen for use as a vehicle fuel. The project is scheduled to go into operation in 2023. The 40.60 Project Clean Production Technology Upgrade Project focuses solely on upgrading the ammonia synthesis section of the existing “40.60” Project; upon completion of the upgrades, the annual production capacity of ammonia will remain at 400,000 tons, urea at 600,000 tons, and methanol at 200,000 tons. After the technical upgrade and transformation, the gas production process was changed from a fixed-bed batch gasification method to a pulverized coal pressurized gasification process ； The original 2 desulfurization units, 3 shift units, 2 shift gas desulfurization units, 2 PSA carbon dioxide removal units, and 2 high-pressure methanol synthesis units have been replaced by one isothermal shift unit, one rectisolve unit, and one cryogenic nitrogen wash unit, respectively ； The ammonia synthesis process has been changed from two high-pressure synthesis units to one low-pressure synthesis unit; the operating pressure has been reduced from 22 MPa to 15 MPa ； Complementary air separation units and waste gas treatment units are to be installed.
