The project for installing a new acid mist absorber and optimizing the soft water system in the water supply workshop of Jiehua Chemical Industry has been successfully completed and approved. As part of the technical improvement projects in the water supply workshop of Jiehua Chemical Industry’s thermal power plant, a new acid mist absorber was installed and the soft water system in that workshop was optimized. After all construction tasks were completed according to the planned schedule, on June 23, the Production Department, together with the Party Committee, Human Resources Department, Discipline Inspection Office, Thermal Power Plant, and Ammonia Synthesis Plant, conducted an on-site inspection to verify that the project was complete and met quality standards. The additional acid mist absorber installed in the water supply workshop of the thermal power plant can eliminate acid mist generated during the unloading and use of hydrochloric acid, thereby preventing harm to personnel in the vicinity and corrosion of electrical equipment caused by the release of acid mist. After the project was put into trial operation, the on-site production environment improved, achieving the desired results of the transformation. The optimization and renovation project of the soft water system further improved the company’s soft water system in terms of supply, diversion and recycling, as well as reuse. Through improvements such as the recycled use of softened water from the purification jacket in the ammonia synthesis plant, the modification of 304 stainless steel water tanks for the 2.5 MPa gray-neck water piping used in gas production, the renovation of the air-conditioning water system in the main substation, and the separation and recovery of cold and hot water, it has been possible to recover softened water and steam condensate separately, enabling more rational utilization of different water qualities. The 120 t/h softened water treatment unit was shut down, which reduced the operating costs of water treatment systems; this approach achieves the technical benefits of rational utilization of various water resources within the company.
