On February 28, 2024, the “Summit Meeting on the Construction of the Lianhong Gerun Integrated Project” was held at Lianhong New Materials’ production office building. At the meeting, the EPC general contract for the construction of the 1.3 million tons per year DMTO unit and its associated systems within the integrated project, as well as the EPC general contract for the construction of the 300,000 tons per year CHPPO unit, were successfully signed. Previously, Lianhong had signed a general contract for the 200,000 tons per year EVA plant as part of an integrated project with Daqing Petrochemical Engineering Co., Ltd. At the end of the meeting, President Li said that 2024 is a crucial year for the implementation of Lianhong Strategy 2.0. In January, Lianhong’s VA plant was successfully put into operation, and the ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene plant was completed as scheduled. Facilities for PLA, electronic specialty gases, etc. will also be built and put into operation gradually in the first half of this year. The integrated project is the one with the largest investment, the most facilities, and the richest product portfolio within Lianhong’s Strategy 2.0 framework. On February 27, the EVA unit began operations on site, and the remaining units will also start operating in March, marking the entry of the entire project into the full construction phase. As planned, the overall progress of the integrated project is expected to reach over 60% by the end of 2024, with phases being completed and put into operation successively in 2025.
