May I ask if the hazard level of 40% industrial hydrofluoric acid is the same as that of anhydrous hydrogen fluoride? Can a hydrofluoric acid storage tank be used as an atmospheric-pressure tank for direct venting?

40% aqueous HF has different properties from anhydrous HF; aqueous HF is highly corrosive (and cannot be stored in metal containers), while anhydrous HF can be stored in metal containers. According to environmental regulations, they cannot be released directly into the atmosphere
