On the evening of March 13, Yongtai Technology issued a announcement stating that its board of directors had approved the \"Proposal regarding the technical renovation and expansion project of the subsidiary’s facility for producing 50,000 tons of lithium hexafluorophosphate per year\" as well as the \"Proposal regarding the construction project of the subsidiary’s facility for producing 5,000 tons of new lithium supplements per year\"; the total investment amount is estimated to be 820 million yuan. The implementation of this project helps the company further solidify and expand its existing market share, while effectively opening up new sources of revenue growth. Basic information on the investment project: Image (1) Project name: Technical renovation and expansion project for an annual production capacity of 50,000 tons of lithium hexafluorophosphate ; Project implementer: Shaowu Yongtai High-Tech Materials Co., Ltd ; Construction location: Jintang Industrial Park, Shaowu City ; Project scale: The project will involve technical upgrades and expansions to the lithium hexafluorophosphate production line, which currently has an annual production capacity of around 18,000 tons; upon completion, it is intended to achieve an annual production capacity of 50,000 tons of lithium hexafluorophosphate (solid salt). Project construction period: March 2026 – December 2027, subject to the actual progress ; Project construction contents: The existing lithium hexafluorophosphate workshop will be upgraded and expanded through technical improvements, while new production workshops along with the necessary utility systems and tank areas will be constructed to house the new lithium hexafluorophosphate production facilities. Upon completion, the project’s total annual production capacity will be 50,000 tons. Project investment amount: The total investment in the project is 550 million yuan ; (II) Project Name: Construction Project for Annual Production of 5,000 Tons of New Lithium Supplement Agents ; Project implementer: Shaowu Yongtai High-Tech Materials Co., Ltd ; Project location: Jintang Industrial Park, Shaowu City ; Project construction scale: The project is planned to achieve an annual production capacity of 5,000 tons of new lithium replenishing agents ; Project construction period: June 2026 – December 2028, subject to actual progress. Project construction contents: Production workshops and associated utility facilities as well as a storage system are to be built, in order to achieve an annual production capacity of 5,000 tons of new lithium replenishment agents. Project investment amount: The total investment in the project is 270 million yuan. The announcement regarding the purpose of this project investment states that the company is launching a technical upgrade and expansion project for lithium hexafluorophosphate. The goal is to overcome the existing production capacity limitations through process upgrades, in order to meet the rapidly growing demand from the downstream new energy vehicle and energy storage markets. At the same time, it aims to optimize the cost structure and increase the proportion of self-supplied key raw materials, thereby enhancing the synergistic advantages of the industrial chain. The implementation of this project will significantly enhance the company’s supply capacity, greatly increasing the self-sufficiency rate for key raw materials used in electrolytes. By leveraging scale effects and technological improvements, cost competitiveness can be further improved, thereby strengthening the synergistic advantages of the company’s integrated supply chain covering \"lithium salts – additives – electrolytes\" and helping to build a stronger competitive edge in the lithium battery materials sector. As an innovative \"lithium carrier molecule,\" the new lithium replenisher holds its core value in its ability to precisely replenish the active lithium lost during the cycling of lithium batteries, thereby significantly extending battery life and restoring its capacity. This material can be used for the repair of used batteries as well as for the manufacture of new batteries, including liquid batteries, semi-solid batteries, and all-solid-state batteries. Currently, its main application areas are in the battery manufacturing process, where it is added in advance to the cathode or electrolyte in order to compensate for the irreversible lithium loss that occurs during the first charging and discharging cycles due to the formation of a SEI film. This process can effectively improve the initial coulombic efficiency and energy density of the battery, enhance cycle stability, and significantly extend its service life. Leveraging the comprehensive product portfolio the company has developed in areas such as lithium hexafluorophosphate, lithium bis(fluorosulfonylimide) (LiFSI), vinylene carbonate (VC), and electrolytes, this new lithium replenishing agent project will further enhance the company’s full-industry-chain presence in lithium battery materials.
