The technical upgrade project for Dongying Chemical to produce 60,000 tons of electronic-grade hydrogen fluoride per year has been approved. 2025-12-22 15:19:48 On December 19, the Environmental Protection Bureau of Sanming City approved the environmental impact assessment report for this upgrade project carried out by Dongying Chemical Co., Ltd. in Qingliu County, Fujian Province, and made it public. The details of the project are as follows: Project name: Dongying Chemical’s technical upgrade project to increase annual production of 60,000 tons of electronic-grade hydrogen fluoride ； Construction unit: Dongying Chemical Co., Ltd., Qingliu County, Fujian Province ； Construction location: Dalukou Area, Qingliu County Fluorine New Materials Industrial Park ； Project investment: 20 million yuan ； Project nature: Renovation ； Construction contents: The project design involves adding oxidation pretreatment and distillation purification units to two of the three existing hydrofluoric acid production lines (30,000 tons per line) in the new plant site (evaluated using Lines 2 and 3 of AHF that have passed the environmental compliance inspections), thereby upgrading them from anhydrous hydrogen fluoride production facilities to electronic-grade hydrogen fluoride production facilities ； The plant, which was originally designed to produce 60,000 tons of anhydrous hydrogen fluoride per year, along with 8,000 tons of by-product fluorosilicic acid (40%) and 227,000 tons of by-product fluorogypsum, has been modified to produce 60,000 tons of electronic-grade hydrogen fluoride per year, 8,000 tons of by-product fluorosilicic acid (40%), 2,500 tons of by-product hydrofluoric acid (30%), and 227,000 tons of by-product fluorogypsum. Project timeline: Construction is expected to begin in January 2026, with completion and commissioning scheduled for October 2027, giving a construction period of 22 months.
