Some analytical instruments and measuring instruments need to be calibrated regularly. You can ask the person in charge of measurement and analysis at your unit.
Regular testing is required, usually once a year. You can entrust a detector manufacturer to do the testing on your behalf, or you can find a local metrology institute, but generally you have to find a local metrology institute because the report issued by it is legally binding.
