2025-04-11 On April 10, 2025, the Qiwaiwan Industrial Park in the Zhundong Economic and Technological Development Zone was filled with the noise of machinery, as vehicles moved back and forth continuously within the Qiyah Xinjiang Group facility. The busy scene signals that the construction of its sub-group’s plant with an annual production capacity of 1.6 million tons of silicone has fully commenced. The 1.6 million tons per year silicone production project of its Yia Group commenced construction on April 1, 2025, and is expected to be completed and put into operation by the end of 2026. This project is an important plan for its sub-group to utilize a range of existing comprehensive raw materials and energy resources such as quartz ore, industrial silicon, methanol, polysilicon, and its own power plants, in order to develop a complete silicon-based industrial chain. The project integrates advanced domestic and international silicone production technologies, and is equipped with the largest single-unit synthesis, distillation, hydrolysis reactors as well as methylchlorosilane synthesis reactors available at present in China and abroad, enabling the conversion of raw materials for a silicone production facility with an annual output of 1.6 million tons.
