For an EPC project involving storage and transportation facilities for substance B, submersible dip pipes were used for design, procurement, and construction purposes for the loading and unloading operations. Regarding the three inspections and four regular checks, one of the owners’ supervisors said that he recently visited a chemical plant where the elbow pipes there were extremely complex, and suggested that we buy new ones in that style. How should we respond? The documents provided by the owner, such as the process package, safety pre-assessment, and occupational health pre-assessment, never mention any relevant technical requirements.
Taking everything into consideration, as long as there are no safety hazards and it does not violate any principles, we will follow the owner’s requests.

If there’s no problem with yours, then why not change it? Are there any obvious shortcomings in the one you chose?

A flexible hose mainly consists of a gas-phase tube and a liquid-phase tube. What the supervisor referred to as complex must be a flexible hose with a gas-phase tube; if you have a gas-phase recovery system, then you definitely need a flexible hose with a gas-phase tube!
