What are the effects of too high or too low feed temperature on normal operation?
Generally, the impact is not significant; a saturated feed is better. Subcooled feed results in a high reboiler load in the tower.
Start by considering this issue from the perspective of thermal equilibrium. If it is too high, in order to maintain equilibrium, more heat should be removed from the top of the tower or the heating amount at the bottom of the tower should be reduced; generally, the economical approach is to reduce the heating amount. If it is too low, consider it from the same perspective
It not only affects the thermal load of the tower but may also affect the performance of the distributor inside the tower.
Both excessively high and low feed temperatures have little impact on normal operation; what’s important is that the temperature remains stable
