The ancients said: Those who appreciate refined art are few. The design and manufacturing of towers have always been more complex than those of heat exchangers; as a result, many professionals only have a superficial understanding of this field, and relatively few people are involved in this area. This can be seen from the forum posts. Everything has two sides; since tower structures are relatively difficult, more people need to learn and improve. The key issue is how to provide attractive content for Haiyou. Over the years, I have provided tools for tower fluid dynamics calculations along with related discussions, but with limited success. I think there are two reasons for this: 1) First of all, the fluid dynamics calculation tools for towers are not free; although there are hundreds of legitimate users, there is no free version available. Those who own the legitimate version of the software simply smile secretly as they make money, paying little attention to this place; others stay at a distance, looking on in awe ; 2) Secondly, the content related to the tower is too extensive; some of it is quite abstract, and it’s impossible to explain it clearly in a short post. I remember writing a very lengthy post titled “Some Issues Regarding Reactive Distillation,” which helped many people at the time, but that post has since been lost in the dust of time. How can this section be made more active to benefit fellow sea lovers? Should those who use legitimate software also care about everyone else? ; Could some experts of academic caliber and experienced technical personnel from enterprises also contribute their wisdom to the country’s tower industry? Shouldn’t the moderators review the history and organize or bring back the valuable posts?
The Prosperity Tower equipment version is very simple; what’s needed are dedicated moderators or technicians who are willing to come forward and create the 【Daily Question】. As a resident engineer in the mechanical design section, you are more than capable of doing this. :lol:handshake
It’s a work of high quality, but few can appreciate it – is there anyone who responds?
Those who responded and purchased the software used it right away; even authoritative institutions like Tianjin University bought VIVITAS for fluid dynamics purposes. Because manual calculation is too complicated, not many people participate in the discussions. People are practical these days.
It’s a very useful section; its popularity needs to increase
I come here often too! It just feels like it lacks popularity!
