The centrifugal pump required replacement of its inlet and outlet valves; after a partial shutdown and the pump was taken out of service, the pressure gauge on site indicated no pressure, with only a small amount of fluid dripping from the drain. However, a large amount of fluid flowed out during the valve disassembly process, and it is preliminarily estimated that there was some pressure present. What causes the pump pressure gauge to show no pressure while there is still pressure in the pipelines? When the pump is delivered, the inlet and outlet valves are left open in order to allow all local pressure to be released, but this does not happen in practice. What are the specific reasons?

The presence of check valves on the main pipeline, or air entrapment, can also cause this situation.
Is the pipe diameter still relatively large, causing blockage in the drain valve? There is too much water left in the pipeline!
There is a one-way valve at the outlet, but the inlet pipe is also under pressure
Entrance 200, exit 150. There is a vertical pipe before the pump, so in theory everything should flow down smoothly.
This pump has been running continuously, operating for three months straight.
It is necessary to check whether the process handover was carried out in accordance with procedures, whether partial handovers were done, whether blind flanges were properly installed, and whether the pressure gauge of the pump was checked before it was shut down.
The pressure gauge is fine; the pressure readings of both pumps, A and B, were normal both before startup today and thereafter. No oil leakage occurred after the oil stored in the pipes was drained during maintenance.
