Can high-molecular-weight polyethylene be used as the material for pumps in fluorine-containing wastewater? Can fluororubber be used for sealing, and silicon nitride for bushings? The fluoride content is less than 5%
If the wastewater contains strongly oxidizing acids, it is recommended to use F46. Additionally, attention should be paid to the material chosen for the mechanical seal; actually, the price difference isn’t significant.

Since this is the material used for the pump, polytetrafluoroethylene is the recommended choice. After all, it’s a critical component, and investing a little more money to extend its service life is definitely worth it.
