A return line is provided at the outlet of the low-pressure slurry pump in the process package; what is the principle behind some of the slurry returning to the mill, and what are the actual operational results?
It should be returning to the slurry discharge tank; I just can’t figure out how it could return to the mill
The idea of returning part of the coal slurry to the mill for re-grinding existed a long time ago, with the aim of increasing the concentration of the coal slurry and thereby boosting production while reducing consumption. I’ve heard that it has been in use for a long time in water-coal slurry boilers; as for its effectiveness, it’s not yet clear
