I’m seeking advice from experts: At our plant, the filter at the inlet of the pump used for treating lean methanol in the low-temperature methanol washing process gets clogged frequently, with this happening once every two days; before, it used to take half a month to a month before such blockages occurred. Analysis conducted by Sinochem showed that the FeS content is 17% and the Fe2O3 content is around 30%, while other components contain no iron. Experts, could you help analyze where these iron particles might be coming from?
The equipment is severely corroded; could it be that the water content in the system is a bit high?
What is the methanol washing process? What is the precision rating of the coarse/fine filter? Should it be put into use? What is the precision grade of the pump inlet filter? What is the water content in methanol?
