The value of g is determined by measuring the distance between the back side of the impeller and the FB end cover (sometimes also referred to as the pump cover) when the impeller is in the pulled-out position. Then, based on the motor frame number specified in the manual, it is checked whether the corresponding g value meets the requirements. Is this explanation correct? For example, in our factory’s shielded pumps, the leakage volume is controlled within the range of 1.9–2.5. The G value measured using the above method is 5. Pump model 410! Dalian Empire’s shield pumps. However, after changing the serial number in this way, the pump operated for about 10 days before the front bearing became severely worn. However, the value of the impeller thrust condition (and the distance at which the impeller is pushed closest to the FB end cover) is measured and designated as the G value; the shims are adjusted so that the distance equals 5 and G equals 5. It’s working very well in this state! Running smoothly! Please help! Was it really my mistake? Note: The medium in this pump is slightly dirty, but there are no solid particles.
There are requirements regarding the direction in which the impeller is mounted, mainly depending on whether it is a balanced or unbalanced type.
There is no automatic balance. It should be measuring in the pulled-out state! There is another question: how can one distinguish between those without automatic balance and those with it?
