It’s not feasible; of course, the longer the inlet pipeline of a self-priming pump, the better. If you know to use a cup and bring it directly to your mouth when drinking water, then why don’t you use a 15-meter-long straw? It’ll kill you. . Such pumps have a self-priming height of up to 8.5 meters, and the horizontal distance of the inlet pipeline can be several dozen meters or even over a hundred meters. They can be started at any time to deliver water immediately, with a water delivery time of zero seconds. There is no major issue with the individual analysis: the self-priming height at the pump’s inlet remains unchanged; it’s only the length of the self-priming pipe that has increased. At most, this results in some additional pipe losses at the pump’s inlet side (which is inevitable when the pipe length increases). It is recommended to fill the pump before starting it, ensuring that the pump and the suction pipe are completely filled with water; otherwise, a water intake tank can be used, and there shouldn’t be any problems.
