The main problem is that the diaphragm isn’t durable; if you continue to use the diaphragm pump, there’s nothing much that can be done. For feeding via plate and frame, the poster might consider using a corrosion- and wear-resistant slurry pump, making sure to choose a mechanical seal as well.
What kind of acid is oleic acid, and can a regular rubber diaphragm be used as a substitute? A tetrafluoride diaphragm definitely won’t last even a few months
