Hello everyone: I would like to know if there are any empirical values regarding inlet pressure and outlet pressure when selecting a centrifugal pump
What are empirical data on inlet and outlet pressures?
It has nothing to do with import pressure
This is determined based on your manufacturing requirements; where does such experience come from?
I don’t know where to start – is inlet pressure minus outlet pressure equal to head?
Subtracting the pressures gives the pressure difference; so how does head come about?
What I mean is, under normal conditions, what is the inlet pressure of a centrifugal pump? I read about book imports being <0.5MPA
It depends on the design of the pump. For example, in the case of a boiler water circulation pump, if the inlet pressure is several megapascals, would that mean the pump can’t be used? That requirement exists because the pump is designed to operate at a low pressure; if the inlet pressure is too high, combined with the pressure generated by the pump, it could exceed the pump’s designed pressure limit, which is why there is a restriction on the inlet pressure value
