Two calcium chloride refrigerated brine pumps were installed with silencer check valves at the inlet and outlet by people who claimed to know how to design them. Can a check valve be installed at the pump inlet and is it a muffler check valve with high resistance? Are people who let people do this have their brains wet? Aren’t you afraid that the pump efficiency will drop significantly and cause cavitation?
Is it possible that there is positive pressure at the inlet and it is greater than the flow resistance of the check valve.
