Fluoroplastic pumps are available with short brackets and long brackets – what are the advantages and disadvantages of each? Some people say that short supports should be used for low flow rates, while long supports are needed for high flow rates. I wonder if this is correct? Haichuan Pump Community
The main difference between short and long brackets for fluoroplastic pumps lies in length and weight. Short brackets are typically used in applications with low flow rates and low head pressure, as they are lightweight and easy to install and maintain. Long supports, on the other hand, are suitable for applications with high flow rates and high head pressures. Due to their length, they provide better support and stability, but they also require more space and more materials. In general, the choice between a short stent and a long stent depends on the specific usage conditions and requirements. There are no fixed rules stating that short supports should be used for low flow rates and long supports for high flow rates; the decision must be made based on the actual circumstances. .
For all-plastic types, use the short version; for steel-lined fluoroplastic types, use the long version. It mainly depends on the weight of the pump body.

They’re suitable for areas up to 100 square meters and within a distance of 30 meters. It can be appropriately used in some applications with modest requirements, for sewage treatment, and for transporting low-density fluids; however, since the motor shaft is integrated with the pump, it becomes more troublesome to carry out maintenance and replace parts later on. Long-frame type: equipped with a bearing housing and a coupling; it can handle high flow rates, offers stable performance, but is more expensive. In the market, long stents are used more often than short ones.
It mainly depends on the weight of the pump body; a short steel liner indicates a smaller size
