Our factory uses hydrochloric acid with a concentration of 30%. This year, water was poured into the acid tank using an acid transfer pump, which caused the valves to become imperfect and led to leaks. I would like to ask everyone: can an acid transfer pump be used to add water?
No problem. Internal leakage in the valve is definitely not the cause of water hammer. Check it again carefully.

No problem – 30% hydrochloric acid is already a dilute solution, so there’s no need for further dilution. The internal leakage of the valve may be due to the valve itself not being resistant to acids; in that case, considering replacing it with a different type of valve might be an option
This is anti-aircraft guns shooting at mosquitoes. Any acid will do; water is even better. There must be a problem with the sealing of the valve.
