Recently, three low-temperature molten salt pumps developed by Shanghai Kaiquan Pump Industry (Group) Co., Ltd. (referred to as Kaiquan Pump Industry) have completed all production and testing procedures, and were successfully shipped to the site of the **Energy Group’s Dunhuang ‘Thermal Solar +’ 100MW molten salt linear Fresnel thermal power project. In this project, Shanghai Kaiquan Pump Industry was responsible for supplying the key molten salt transfer equipment – low-temperature molten salt pumps. The 3 cryogenic molten salt pump units delivered this time (configured as two in use and one as spare) are of the KQLB350-178 model, and were specifically designed for the harsh operating conditions in concentrated solar power plants. According to the specifications, under rated operating conditions, this pump set delivers a flow rate of 1539 m³/h with a head of 178 meters of salt column ； Under maximum operating conditions, a flow rate of 1940 m³/h and a head of 260 meters of salt column can be achieved. Its design allows it to withstand temperatures as high as 400°C; it is installed in a suspended configuration with a suspension length of 18.7 meters, enabling it to function effectively in the high-temperature, long-axis operating environment of molten salt systems. As previously reported, the **Longyuan Dunhuang ‘solar-thermal +’ integrated project of the Energy Group is one of the flagship projects among the first batch of large-scale wind and solar power bases in the ‘sand, desert, and barren land’ areas**, and it is located in Qili Town, Dunhuang City, Gansu Province. The total investment in this project exceeds 4.1 billion yuan. It is developed through a partnership between **Energy Group Longyuan Power Gansu Company and Lanzhou Dacheng Technology Co., Ltd.** The project includes a 480MW wind power generation facility, a 100MW molten salt linear Fresnel solar thermal power generation facility, and a 120MW photovoltaic power generation facility. The photothermal project is under PC general contracting by Gansu Installation and Construction Group Co., Ltd.
