Recently, the 50,000-ton/year ethylene glycol butyl ether production facility at the Maoming plant of Jiangsu Dena Chemical Co., Ltd. was successfully put into operation. The project streamlines the entire production process in one go, ensuring that the product’s various specifications meet quality standards; it thus adds high-quality new production capacity to the domestic ethylene glycol butyl ether market. This commissioning, with its record of zero quality issues, has injected momentum into the high-quality development of China’s fine chemical industry. A grand commissioning ceremony attended by nearly a hundred guests from various sectors across the country was held to mark this milestone moment. The guest group made an in-depth visit to the Maoming facility, where they inspected the intelligent control system for the equipment as well as the entire production process, thereby gaining a firsthand understanding of Denka’s capabilities in terms of \"efficient construction + intelligent control\". Construction of this project began in December 2024, and it took only 10 months to be completed and put into operation, setting a new record for construction efficiency in the industry ； The on-site visit enabled partners to gain a clearer understanding of Denka’s advantages in product quality stability and production efficiency. It is understood that this project integrates core technologies in automated control and safety protection, and fully deploys intelligent management systems such as DCS (Distributed Control System), SIS (Safety Instrumented System), and GDS (Gas Detection System) to achieve automated and continuous operation throughout the entire production process. Its level of automatic control meets the advanced standards of similar chemical industries worldwide, ensuring the safe production and efficient, stable operation of the enterprise. Green manufacturing has now become an industry consensus. The implementation of this project not only meets the demand for high-quality solvents in global high-end sectors such as coatings and electronic chemicals, but also helps to upgrade the industrial chain toward lower carbon emissions and greater safety.
