How can one check the properties of a pressure transmitter? For example, whether it is intelligent; what are the differences and characteristics between intelligent and non-intelligent transmitters? What is a transmitter, and how can one identify it as a sensor? I read in a book that it contains resistors and capacitors; how can one tell that? What are its structural and visual characteristics, and what are the features of its wiring? Also, is there any difference between the measurement versions that have high and low voltage testing capabilities and those that don’t? Which one is better?
Questions like yours are the hardest to answer... Resistive types are generally small in size, and most of them appear cylindrical when seen in person. Capacitive types are quite large in size; for example, the most common pressure transmitter, Rosemount’s 3051, – you can look up images of it on Baidu to see what it looks like. You can also search for images on Baidu to take a look and then you’ll know. It’s not a very vivid way of putting it, but that’s why questions like yours are the hardest to answer.
