The backflow gas flow rate of this oil collector is around 300 NM3/h; it can reach 600–700 NM3/h at times. Some people say that if this portion of the gas returns to the desulfurization process, it will reduce ammonia production ; Some people say that this portion of gas remains in circulation within the system and is not exhausted; as a result, it does not reduce production volume, but only increases the material consumption per unit. Will a higher wastewater discharge rate ultimately reduce production or increase the specific consumption?
After being pressurized by the compressor, the gas returns to the desulfurization unit via the drain system; it does not reach the ammonia synthesis unit, which affects both the ammonia production volume and the electricity consumption per ton of ammonia produced.
The gas is sent for desulfurization, which increases the volume of gas undergoing desulfurization and compensates for this loss; therefore, the production volume should remain unchanged.

When production is at full capacity, the wastewater flow returns to the desulfurization unit, causing the desulfurization pressure to rise; this forces the desulfurization system to reduce its output and lower its pressure to ensure safety, and as a result, production is reduced ; When operating at light load, the waste discharge flow returns to the desulfurization unit, causing the desulfurization pressure to rise, but it remains below the safe range. In this case, there is no need to reduce the desulfurization capacity, so production is not affected; only the specific consumption increases.
This portion of gas returns to the desulfurization process, resulting in no loss of gas; however, it reduces ammonia production; Relatively speaking, it will still increase the unit consumption.
It simply increases the unit consumption, but one thing is certain: it helps to prevent exhaust gases from polluting the environment to a certain extent
