Please help me out by providing some information on methanol extraction. The extracted product is sodium thiocyanate, which contains some sodium thiosulfate; the material is in solid form. The material is added to the glass-lined reactor by using a screw conveyor. A certain amount of methanol is placed in the glass-lined reactor first, and the reaction takes place in a sealed environment. Sodium thiosulfate is insoluble in methanol; it is pressed out using a plate and frame filter press, after which the methanol in the tank is evaporated to yield sodium thiocyanate of high purity.
