If I replace the core processor on-site, which parameters do I need to change? I hope the technician who has worked on this instrument can share some experience
After hanging up the communicator, based on the original data sheet, it’s best to change any parts that differ from it.
Replacing the core components requires recalibration; it’s not sufficient to simply modify the parameters, and parameter adjustments also need to be made within the context of calibration.
When replacing the CMF sensor, first pay attention to the wiring, then use the HART communicator to modify parameters such as the range; follow the instructions provided in the instrument’s data sheet
It is for calibration; we set the parameters and then adjust the zero point when there is no flow of medium but the pipe is full.
Using the 375 controller, first save all the parameters of the original mass flow meter (if it has this function), and then download all those parameters to the new mass flow meter.
I have changed it, but that was to check whether the previous core processor was damaged; I didn’t consider parameter issues. If settings are made, depending on the functions of the pins of the core processor, attention may need to be paid to changes in parameters such as the temperature compensation coefficient, the parameters of the left and right detection coils, and the parameters of the drive coil. I haven’t done this before, so this is for reference only
What you’re doing here isn’t calibration; it can only be called zeroing. Calibration involves comparing the flow rate displayed by the flow meter after a standard flow rate is passed through it with the standard flow rate itself.
I don’t know how many users are able to replace the core processor while also performing calibration tasks, and I also find it hard to agree that calibration is necessary just by replacing the gauge head. Anyway, we have never replaced the core processor while calibrating the clock.
The Hart handheld device is used to set the range, units, as well as the instrument factor indicated on the sensor’s nameplate.
After replacing the core processor, the parameters on the sensor’s nameplate are required: K1, K2, Flowcal, Den, DT, and so on
